True Films is a division of ZenHQ. We’ll give you three guesses what we do at True Films, and the first two don’t count! For the concept impaired, True Films makes films based only on true stories. Go figure!

We are passionate about true stories!

ZenHQ’s Chris Roland has been involved in several films based on true stories, most notably Hotel Rwanda and Stander. True Films is currently developing BEYOND THE LIGHT BARRIER, based on the controversial life of Elizabeth Klarer who claimed to have lived on another planet.

Submissions

True Films is seeking polished feature film scripts revolving around True South African stories only. We are not considering books that can be adapted, short stories, concepts or anything scribbled on toilet paper.

Scripts must be ready for production, be in standard script format, and be accompanied by story rights where applicable. We cannot consider stories where rights have not yet been obtained.

We accept all genres so long as scripts are well written and stories are intriguing and/or inspiring. We particularly like stories where the main character(s) do a one hundred and eighty degree flip.
