ZenHQ is a unique production and sales company based in Cape Town. Well, you wouldn’t expect us to say we’re a bunch of bozos that don’t have a clue, right? The company is driven by its founder Chris Roland, South Africa’s most sought after Producer and Writer, and rapidly emerging as a talented director. Award winning documentary filmmaker Lee-Ann Cotton recently joined ZenHQ, adding counterpoint between the anima and animus.
Chris & Lee-Ann live ZenHQ’s philosophy by striking the perfect balance between the creative and the needs of production, always focused on telling, supporting and delivering stories in the most creative, honest, entertaining and economical way possible – damn right!
The company has three primary focuses:

Chris is a true hyphenate, an accusation he flatly denies. He has been involved in 60+ productions, including Stander, Hotel Rwanda, Man to Man, Charlie Jade, Three Needles, and Tunnel Rats, as a Producer, Creator/Writer, Director, Service Producer, Consultant and Tea Lady. Projects have won or been nominated for the Oscar, Golden Globe, Golden Bear, Toronto People’s Choice, Genie, and DGC Award for Best Direction.
ZenHQ added sales to its operations in 2007, creating a unique sales structure aimed exclusively at servicing the often under valued African market. The company represents nine titles, including the $60 million film Dungeon Siege, based on Gas Powered Games best selling video game.
